The signature design of Juuret Jewellery, "Tuohisydän" ("Birch bark heart") is a line of jewellery inspired by the use of birch bark and particularly birch bark rings in Finnish society during the 1800s. The giving of a birch bark ring used to be a sign of affection and love. It was said that for as long as the ring remained intact, the love it symbolised would remain. The jewellery in the "Tuohisydän"-collection combines the sincerity of this tradition and the techniques originally used with a different material, silver, and a more modern style.
