Ekenäs Lucia 2019

In 2019 I had the honour of creating a one of a kind necklace for Ekenäs Lucia, Lina-Lotta Lundström.

 

The necklace was inspired by the goodness that Lucia stands for. Lucia is a bringer of hope, and the light and warmth she radiates is reflected both literally and metaphorically in the golden halo that constitutes the main element of the piece. The symbolism of the halo also calls to mind the Lucia of history, Saint Lucia of Syracuse.

The materials used for the piece were sterling silver and 24K gold (keum boo).

In addition to the Lucia necklace, I also created five so called "tärnsmycken" inspired by the same theme.
