Tuohi - earrings
"Tuohi" is Finnish for birch bark, an incredibly durable material historically used for a variety of different purposes. Due to its many favourable properties and relative abundance it was an essential resource for centuries and could be utilised to make everything from shoes and back-packs to insulation for roofs.
Inspired by this incredible material the "Tuohi"-collection is an ode to resilience. It is a collection designed to withstand the test of time and bring joy to its wearer for many years to come.
Material and finish
The "Tuohi" earrings are made using 100% recycled sterling silver, also known as Ecosilver. The scrolls (the earring backs) are not made of Ecosilver, but are also sterling silver.
The upper part of the earrings has a rougher, sanded surface, while the curled lower parts are polished on the outside.Size
The "Tuohi" earrings are approx. 12 mm wide.
